The Carefully Planned Ruse

Liam loves to climb atop his parents huge bed and throw all of the pillows and blankets onto the floor. He then loves to run and jump off of the bed landing softly amidst the discarded bed coverings below. He asks us, his parents, to throw pillows at him as he dodges side to side. He laughs hysterically as he ducks a pillow to the head.  "Mommy, you can't get me," he jeeringly taunts. What he doesn't know is that I miss him on purpose just so I can hear his hysterical and maniac-like laughter.Tonight we enjoyed several rounds of our favorite game while daddy snapped pictures. What Liam doesn't know is that this was all a carefully planned ruse. Getting Liam to smile for a picture is like enduring a root canal. Bill and I cleverly created the illusion of a game so that we could  capture his angelic smile as he shrieks with hysteria at dodging pillows being launched at him. We just hope that he doesn't catch onto our little guise and figure out that it was all just a set-up. Yip were are totally going for the parents of the year, hope you will consider us for nomination!
