Christmas Eve At Our House

This year we decided to borrow a family tradition from our sil Rosie. Her family makes cookies for Santa. Last Christmas she made cookies with Liam and his cousins and it was a huge hit with the kids. Not to mention the parents loved eating their hard work! So with cookie cutters and colored sugars with made cookies as a family for Santa.

Liam and Bill were so cute as they made cookies together. I love how huge Bills hands are in relation to Liams! Its hard to believe that we were ever that little isn't it!? Its even harder to imagine that one day Liam will be the daddy! OK, I dont even want to go there!!

Liam was so determined to sprinkle the right amount of sugar onto this cookie. I hope whoever gets this cookie has a really high tolerance for sugar! Hopefully Liam doesn't eat it, I would have to scrape him off of the walls after the sugar high!

One of the traditions that Bill and I both had as children was to receive a pair of pjs for Christmas Eve. We have kept this tradition our entire marriage and it has been fun to keep this tradition with Liam. My most favorite Fullmer family tradition is a tradition that Bill and I created for ourselves when we were dating way back in 1993. We get a special book for Christmas, this year we got "A Bell for Anya" we get into our pjs and first read from Luke about the birth of Christ and then we read our Christmas book. I include a copy of the family Christmas letter, picture and card we sent out that year so that the book can act as a time capsule. Its fun to go back and read the years previous letter and see the changes in our family picture. This is what Christmas Eve is like with the Fullmers!

The Fullmer Siblings Christmas Party

Like most families at Christmas time everyone gathers in an effort to reconnect with each other and to share in the family traditions that have been created by that family. The Fullmer/Nelson/Warburton Family is no exception to this. We gathered from Oregon, Idaho, Utah, and Colorado to be together for our annual Christmas Party on December 23rd.

Watching the grandchildren buzz with excitement, grammy's spritual message, the children opening presents and getting pjs from grammy and papa, visiting until 4 am and having the opportunity to reconnect with each other were some of the highlights for me. Not to mention the fact that 2 of my sister-in-laws are prego! Both families are buying wraps and so we we had everyone wrapping in the living room. It was a beautiful sight! (But alas no pics since everyones hands were full with babies and fabric!) In June we will have all the Fullmer siblings officially babywearing. I am so excited for them!

I am so grateful for my eternal family. "Because God so loved the world and gave his only begotten son," I have the promise of being with my earthly family for eternity. I also have the promise of being with my Heavenly Father again. How grateful I am for Christ and his atoning sacrifice! How grateful I am for this annual reminder of "Jesus Birthday"

Our Crazy Adventures Into the Land of Yucky!

My mom and my sisters Esther, Laura and Laura's three girls Aaliyah, Kayla, and Camiley came down to Logan from Idaho on Thursday afternoon. When they set out the roads were slightly wet from the rain and they felt confident about traveling. Well while they were out finishing their Christmas shopping it began to snow. Not just a little snow, oh no, this was SNOW!! Wet slushy hard to see and control your vehicle SNOW! So we made the decision that they should stay the night with us to wait out the storm. In the middle of the night Liam woke up coughing and dry heaving, while I was in his room trying to help him breath and calm down, my niece Camiley woke up screaming and pulling on her ears. She then began vomiting up mucus. Just that morning I had read about how to tell if your child has a sinus infection. From what I had read I determined that they both were suffering from sinusitis. My sister and I looked at each other like, WHAT, how could that be!! But it was true, both Liam and Camiley are sick with a sinus infection. My family was able to leave early this morning so that Laura could take Camiley into her doctor before the Christmas break begins. We also took Liam in to see his pediatrician. Dr. Huff confirmed my suspicions that Liam does have a sinus infection that is causing him to have croup. So he was given a steroid to help with the croup and antibiotics to help with the sinus infection.

Little did my family know what kind of adventure they were setting out on yesterday!! The weather was crazy, Liam and Camiley got sick and our family had to stay the night at our house! By the way I just have to add that it really is someone elses turn to have a sinus infection because between Liam and I, I think we have had more then enough turns being sick in the last 2 months!!! So here we go again, sick with sinus infections!!!AGHHHH....I thought we had put that behind us! Guess not!

In The Home Stretch!

As we have been running around town desperately trying to get ready for Christmas we stopped into Sam's Club a few weeks back and who should be there but Ole Saint Nick (OK he was really Young Saint Nick but who's really gonna tell the kiddies that!) There was even a really nice person from the Photo Department with a camera on hand to take free pictures of the kiddies with Santa. Liam was really excited about sitting on Santa's lap, he was however a little shy with the camera lady. We thought it was a great idea especially since we didnt have to wait in long line at the Mall and after all the 5x7 picture was free!

I hope that your all managing well considering that its only 6 more days until Christmas. I hope your to-do lists are almost completed. We are in the home stretch with only a few more errands to do and a lot of Christmas baking left to be done. Sadly however your cards will all be late this year! I just hope that I can keep my sanity as I finish of my lists of to-do's. Hopefully your all hanging in there as well!
