The Pumpkin Walk

Our community hosts an annual event where volunteers create scenes using pumpkins, gourds, squash, and other such vegetables. This year the theme was, "Hero's." There were all kinds of hero's represented from school teachers, firemen, and even a few super hero's like Kung Fu Panda. Some were serious like a nod to  Michael Phelps and then some that were silly like a scene where the Cache Valley citizens who are members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir were represented as singing pumpkins. My most favorite was a hilarious scene from an emergency room with a pumpkin on the operating table with all of his seedy entrails hanging out and an amazing depiction of a scene from "Nightmare before Christmas." The turn out was astounding and we had fun with our fellow citizens as we enjoyed the quirky tributes to heroism. After the Pumpkin Walk extravaganza we headed home to hot chocolate and doughnuts and watched a couple movies. It was a great time spent with my two greatest loves, Bill and Liam. We had also found a mathcbox cars haunted house at DI earlier that morning that Liam was crazy for. I really think that Halloween is Liam's most favorite holiday. He has been wearing the Halloween colors and his Halloween shirt for the entire month of October. Kinda eerie since Bill and I discovered we were pregnant with him on Halloween four years ago!! Below is a video of Liam getting dressed up for the Pumpkin Walk, he was very excited to FINALLY get to don his Halloween duds. He is explaining that there are two bats in the house..enjoy!
