Five Years Ago...

At this exact moment five years ago, I was about five hours away from bringing this amazing little person into the world. After 12 hours of hard labor, this beautiful child was born at exactly midnight on June 2, 2005.

My heart is overflowing with joy and happiness as I contemplate all that has transpired over the last five years. I feel honored and blessed to have you as my child and I thank Heavenly Father each and every day for answering my prayers--by sending you to me. Liam, you are the greatest fulfillment of everything I could have ever wished or dream of having in a child. I love you and hope that your fifth year is a special one filled with memories, growth, friendships, learning, and health. I love you bigger than the whole wide universe and I thank my lucky stars for you each and everyday.

It Was A Good One

I had a fabulous birthday over the weekend, my husband sure knows how to make a girl feel loved and special.

Liam had a WONDERFUL 4th Birthday filled with Batman gifts, a Batman cupcake cake, meatballs and spagetthi and going to see the movie, "UP." According to Liam it was the, "Bestest berfday ever mommy and daddy, thanks guys!"

The past four years have been filled with so much joy for both Bill and I as we have had the great honor of becoming parents. Liam has fulfilled and surpassed our wildest dreams and hopes. Liam we love and cherish you so much and hope that your day has been special and filled with happy memories.

All My Wildest Dreams Came True

I awoke to a day in which the sun was shining and the birds were singing despite the fact that it was the second to last day of January. I enjoyed a hot shower and I entered the kitchen to find that my dear sweet husband and son had decorated the kitchen for my 33rd birthday.
We enjoyed Strawberry Angel Food cake for breakfast, yum mo!
I then went to school and work and had a productive day.
I felt really good about my performance on my test despite the fact that I have yet to receive my actual score. At the close of the day my husband took me out on a date to my favorite fancy restaurant, Hamilton's where
I ate salmon and crab-super yum mo! Bill surprised me when he suddenly whipped out a small beautifully wrapped box that screamed, "jewelry!"
I was astounded to receive a necklace and matching earrings! I am so touched by his thoughtfulness, he is REALLY good at giving gifts! We then spontaneously went to a movie where we enjoyed, "Australia." We picked up Liam from Grammy's house where she and Liam had made me a heart shaped cake and Liam had purchased me a bright red Mylar heart balloon. I had an amazing and wonderful birthday where, yes all my wildest dreams came true. Now if only everyday was my birthday!

Liam's Third Birthday

Liam asked for a "tractor birthday cake" and I found this recipe for an easy backhoe birthday cake. We had so many left overs from the first cake that Bill decided to create a second birthday cake for Liam. Bill made a trackhoe. He is amazing, he created it from his imagination. Liam LOVED having not only one tractor cake but two!

Liam's third birthday was filled with two birthday cakes, balloons, going out to lunch with mom and dad to "Costa Vida" and getting his first trike.

Liam's First Three Years

Three years ago today I was in labor with Liam. He was then born at exactly 12:00 midnight on June 2, 2005. He weighed 6lbs. 12 oz. and was 19 in. long. I am so grateful for the past 3 years that Bill and I have had with Liam. He is such a joy and delight! He inspires me each and every day to not only be a good mom, but to be a great person. I love you little Liam Boy and I am so grateful that our Heavenly Father sent you to me and daddy. You are so special and I love you so very much!

I chose to post this one day early because I knew that we were going to be busy tomorrow on his Birthday and I wanted to share this, so enjoy!

Happy Happy Birthday BD Dear!

For Bills birthday we had a really great time going out to dinner and a movie just the two of us. It was admittedly a little different not having to order from the kids menu but we enjoyed ourselves all the same!! Thanks to my sisters for tending Liam while we had a nice evening out. I love my husband so much I can hardly believe though that he is now 33, I met him when he was only 18--wow how the years fly!! I am more in love with him each and every day. It is such an honor to know him and love him! I love you honey and am so grateful that you were born!!
